We've Made Case Law!

For those of you not familiar with the case, on May 30, 2017, I was arrested/cited for disorderly conductwhile reading my Bible aloud outside the Planned Parenthood, in Iowa City, Iowa. I subsequently stood trial and was convictedof the crime.

My church and I sought the assistance of the American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ). They took our case and sued the State of Iowa and Johnson County, for the purpose of seeking to have the law under which I was charged and convicted deemed unconstitutional.

On behalf of Pastor Nick Rolland and our entire church family, I want to thank Michelle Terryand the team at ACLJ for their stellar work in our case.

On September 26, 2019, Federal District Judge Rebecca Ebinger issued her ruling in our case. She determined that the law under which I was charged and convicted was unconstitutionally vague.

We hope that this court decision will help other brothers and sisters in Christ as they fight for the lives of unborn children and the souls of those bent on murdering them. We also hope this court decision will help our brothers in Christ who herald the gospel in the open-air.

What follows is the court's ruling, in its entirety. CONTINUE READING...

Ministry at the Iowa City Climate Strike

On October 4, 2019, Greta Thunberg visited Iowa City. Greta Thunberg is the 16-year-old Swedish girl who has taken the Climate Change world by storm (there's a pun in there somewhere). The Church of Sweden, in a stunning move of apostasy, declared Thunberg "one of Jesus' successors." She's also being considered for a Nobel Peace Prize.

Yes, the world is a mess.

Hearing that Greta would be in Iowa City, I filled my backpack with gospel tracts and, with my "Stop and Talk" cross in tow, headed to the University of Iowa campus.

I distributed a good number of tracts and had several profitable gospel conversations. Here are two of them:

Sam's Climate Change Gospel Can't Save Him

Brian Wanted to Know Tony's Schpiel

Conversations on the University of Iowa Campus

Last week I took my dry erase board to the University of Iowa campus. The question of the day: "Are you good enough to go to heaven?" I had several good conversations as a result. Here are the audios for a few of them:

When They Don't Have Time

Pendeza's Lack of Assurance

Sophia's Assurance of Salvation

430 Rides and Counting

I've been driving Uber part-time for four months, now. Thus far I have had more than 430 rider in my car. Recently, I had two good conversations with riders. Here are the audios:

God is Not a Genie

A Union Card and a MAGA Hat
