An informal and swinging open social dance and open bandstand for people to give it a shot playing, dancing, or both - like this:
There's a whole lot of sharing on both the dance floor + the band stand. All up + down the learning curve, students to pro's, people picking it back up after years, everybody in between. It's always a wonderfully wide spread of age, experience, and perspective, and others hanging around, catching up, swinging out, and just checking it out.
Bring your instrument if you would like to join us on the bandstand (and bring a couple lead sheets if you have a song you want to share). Or bring your dancing shoes if you'd like to come and social dance. Or both, why not?
Excellent craft soda and beers + some other beverages. Pizza + subs across the street - and Rambling House is totally OK if you bring food in. Bring your own ... bring some extra + share it around!
NEW PLAYERS - bring your instrument and join us for a low-key and learning-friendly set at 7:30! The first hour of the night will be an extended set featuring songs that are friendly for beginners, and backed by seasoned pros.
