BEACH RENOURISHMENT ABOUT TO BEGIN: Mobilization began this morning to haul and place between 120,000 and 130,000 cubic yards of sand on Park Shore, North Park Shore and Clam Pass beaches. The actual trucks will begin arriving on October 16. We know this is disruptive, so the crews will work all day every day to get it completed as soon as they possibly can. This project is expected to renourish these beaches until 2024 assuming no exceptional storms, hurricanes or unexpected weather conditions. Maximum cost for the project is $5.5 million, and it is all funded by tourist taxes. Click HERE for more details.
