October has been an eventful month for Heritage Saskatchewan!
In this edition of Heritage Happenings, we're excited to deliver news of the Saskatchewan Index of Wellbeing release, and also pleased to share that Heritage Saskatchewan is the recipient of the National Trust for Canada Governors' Award! 2019 National Trust for Canada Governors' Award

Heritage Saskatchewan is the recipient of a 2019 National Trust for Canada Governors' Award, being recognized for work on the development of the Saskatchewan Index of Wellbeing, connecting heritage and wellbeing

This October 14, Heritage Saskatchewan celebrated 10 years of incorporation.  I can’t believe that 10 years has slipped by so quickly!

Board Meeting Synopsis
The Heritage Saskatchewan Board of Directors met on October 3rd & 4th. Besides regular Board business, the Board and Staff participated in an exercise to narrow our focus on key Calls to Action, by looking at the intent of each Call and inserting, "We call upon ourselves." Congratulations to our Summer Intern
We would like to congratulate our Summer Intern, David Siebert, for winning the National Trust for Canada's Herb Stovel Scholarship. The prize will fund his attendance to the 2019 National Trust Conference in Winnipeg, and we look forward to seeing him there!

Heritage Saskatchewan, in partnership with the staff from the Heritage Conservation Branch in the Ministry of Parks, Culture and Sport, have begun planning for this annual event. Mark your calendar and plan to join us in Saskatoon in February. Watch this newsletter for updates!
