October 11-13: PLAN's Students for Zero Waste Conference

The 6th Annual Students for Zero Waste Conference (SZW19) will bring together 600 students, staff, industry innovators, activists, and community members from across the country in Philadelphia and the University of Pennsylvania. The three day event includes student-led workshops, professional trainings, hands-on activity sessions, affinity group meet-ups, and panels covering topics related to waste and environmental justice. October 19: Greensgrow's 2019 Farm Dinner

Join Greensgrow for a benefit to celebrate the local food system during the amazing Pennsylvania harvest season and support fresh food access. On October 19th, guests will be joined by Chef Ari Miller, owner of the much acclaimed restaurant Musi, featuring a farm-to-table menu inspired by local produce, and coal fire cooking accompanied by Farm at Doe Run cheeses. This will be Greengrow's last Farm Dinner benefit series of 2019 in partnership with Philly Foodworks to raise funds for the SNAP Share Program. Register today

On October 23rd from 5:00 - 7:00 pm, Philly VIP is hosting a free legal clinic for small business owners. LawWorks, a project of Philadelphia VIP, is looking for small business owners to meet with volunteer attorneys to receive free legal assistance that will likely continue after the event. Learn more.

On October 24th, 25th, and November 1st, the Sustainable Business Network of Greater Philadelphia’s Green Stormwater Infrastructure (GSI) Partners will offer its 5th annual GSI Operation and Maintenance Course for landscape professionals to learn best practices and advance their skills and working knowledge of green stormwater infrastructure (GSI) and sustainable stormwater management. Register now.
