What: A virtual gathering kicking off the 2019-20 school year to connect green schools advocates across the state of Nebraska. We will take some time to introduce ourselves and get to know this green schools network as well as highlighting some current resources and programs available to all Nebraska schools. Participants will also be asked to share what topics they are interested in hearing more about and what will help them further green schools efforts in their community.
Middle School Gardens Gathering

When: Thursday, October 10th, 4-6 pm
Where: Mickle Middle School, Lincoln
Join us for an informational gathering focused on gardens and outdoor learning at middle schools. Local resources and opportunities for growing and enhancing these efforts at your school and connecting to curricula will be provided. You will also have the opportunity to network with other schools pursuing similar projects.
This event is open to educators outside of the LPS system, so join us!

FACILITATOR TRAINING SUCCESS

Last week new facilitators from across the state joined the Project Learning Tree, Project WET, and Project WILD teams at Rowe Sanctuary to learn how to facilitate workshops. We trained educators and natural resource professionals from Scottsbluff and Omaha and many places in between including Hastings and Kearney. Over the two day training, the facilitators learned about the history and philosophy behind the projects, practiced leading lessons with adults, and began planning their workshops. If you are hoping to have a workshop in your town sometime soon, contact us today as these new facilitators are ready to get out and educate!
