Giving online?
If you give to Prospect through the web-based donation page or mobile app but still wish to participate in the Sunday morning offering, you are invited to give a token cash gift or place an “Electronic Giving” card in the offering plate. These cards are found in the pew rack.

Sock It to Homelessness
Every fall, we collect men’s white socks to donate to Operation Nightwatch’s Sock It to Homelessness sock drive. In 2018, we collected 250 pairs! Beginning this Sunday, October 13, please bring socks and place in the collection box in the entry. You may also donate funds to purchase socks: give cash or checks to Stacy Chilberg, or make payable to Prospect Congregational UCC and indicate “socks” in the memo. Socks may be donated through November 24, funds to purchase socks through November 17.

Neighbors in Need (NIN)
We have received $325 for Neighbors in Need (NIN), a special mission offering of the United Church of Christ that supports ministries of justice and compassion throughout the United States. Thank you for your generosity! It is not too late to give—we will continue to receive this offering through the month of October. Make checks payable to Prospect Congregational UCC and indicate “NIN” in the memo.
You may also donate online here.

Sabbatical Planning Team

In preparation for her sabbatical next summer, Pastor Meighan would like to form a sabbatical planning team to explore the following questions:
  • What kind of coverage do we want?
  • How do we pay for both the pastor's salary and also a sabbatical pastor fill-in?
  • Are there themes that the congregation could explore during this time?
  • How do we make this a seamless transition into and back out of the sabbatical time?
If you are interested in being part of this planning team, please talk to Meighan or contact the church office.

Community Lunch Coat Drive
Community Lunch has an ongoing need for men's coats. Please check your closets for unneeded men's coats. Place them in the blue tub in the entry. Suzanne Fry will be collecting donated coats and delivering them to Community Lunch each week.

Ilhan Omar came to town, and participated in the pro-Trump rally in downtown Seattle) is planning a protest against Linda at MAPS at that time (Saturday, 6:30pm to 9pm). Members and leaders of faith communities are invited and encouraged to show support for Linda, MAPS, and MLFA. If you could be there in support anytime between 5:30pm and 8pm on Sat, please let Aneelah Afzali know at aneelah.afzali@gmail.com (you would not be attending the fundraising event itself, unless you choose to do so -- and if so, please be sure to register for that here).
