Ha ha ha this photo sums up one aspect of our summer--it was busy and tiring!

But mostly it was SO fun and SO good to reconnect with family, friends, and supporters. We wouldn't trade it. The kids got lots of good friend time, I (Tonya) was able to visit my Grandma and other relatives in SoCal, Melody and I went to horse camp, Ben went to Las Vegas with his best friend Jason...just to name a few of the highlights.

And now we are back in the Dominican Republic! Although there's definitely some readjustment that has to take place, we are happy to be back among friends and at Skatechurch and the orphanage again.

The girls at the orphanage were so excited to pick out their own coloring books. Thanks so much to all who donated books and crayons this summer!

Jolie has started volunteering at a coffee shop ministry here in La Vega. We are excited about this opportunity for her and the desire she has to serve!

We are homeschooling these three this year. So far it is going well!
Jolie is attending the same school as last year, but we are currently working to transition her to another school which will better suit her needs, as it is more academically rigorous. Which leads us to our prayer requests:

-Please pray for wisdom as we seek to transfer Jolie to a new school, and for her adjustment, once again, to something new.

-After 14 months of hearing nothing, last Saturday Tonya was served with papers relating to the accident which occurred in February 2018. Now a lawyer needs to be hired as we enter the court process again, with the motorcyclist asking for 10,000,000 pesos (the equivalent of $200,000 USD.) This situation is stressful, so prayers would be appreciated.

-Please continue to pray for the salvation of the kids we are ministering to. We anticipate more kids in attendance next week at Skatechurch, as a couple of those who were there last Monday were very excited about it and wanted to share with their friends.

Thank you so much to all who give and pray for our ministry here in the DR. We are so thankful for each and every one of you, and so happy that we got to reconnect with most of you this summer.
