EVENTS

Black Women and Elections

Date: Thursday, October 10, 2019
Time: 5:00pm - 6:30pm
Location: Fordham Law School, Hill Faculty Conference, Room 7-119

For the past few years, black women have been described as the keepers of the Democratic Party as well as the keepers of democracy. As the 2020 elections approach, what will be the role of Black women in the electorate, as candidates, and mobilizers in the political process? No group performs in the cohesive manner as Black women perform. Will their sense of urgency be enough to elect candidates who represent their interests or will the status quo prevail?

Light refreshments will be served. Please RSVP if you plan to attend.
