First Gold Coast Multicultural Women's Health Expo a Success
 On 5th September, the first Gold Coast Multicultural Women’s Health Expo was held at TAFE Queensland, Southport. The Expo was attended by over 250 people visiting the 20 service providers in attendance. The purpose of the health expo, other than increasing awareness and access to Gold Coast health providers, was to gather information that would inform the potential for future multicultural health services. The day was organised by a planning committee including; 3Es to Freedom, The Benevolent Society, MCCGC, MFO and a representative from NDIS.

Refugee Health Network Qld attends Pharmacy Assistants National Conference
 The Refugee Health Network Qld and Translating and Interpreting Service (TIS) were able to have a trade stall at the Pharmacy Assistant National Conference 11- 13th October, held in Brisbane.
The promotion of the FREE immediate telephone phone interpreter service for Pharmacists was promoted to all participant to encourage the pharmacy assistants to engage interpreters when needed.

Refugee Transitions
Refugee Transitions is a magazine produced by STARTTS. Refugee Transitions reports on a wide range of refugee and human rights issues which are relevant to our work. It focuses attention on the impact of organised violence and human rights abuses on health and provides ideas on intervention models to address the health and social needs of refugees. It debates and campaigns for changes necessary to assist, empower and strengthen refugee communities in their settlement process.

Communication across cultures in primary healthcare - 6th November, 2019
An interactive workshop designed for clinicians and administration staff working in primary healthcare. The aim is to provide the tools to understand and bridge cultural difference in order to have effective interactions with people from different cultural backgrounds and ensure the delivery of high quality health care.
