The 2018/19 year records more milestones in the Shift journey.
We are really proud and excited to share The Shift Foundation 2018/19 Annual Report with you - our partners, funders and cheerleaders!
The Shift Foundation in conjunction with our partners (Kāpiti Youth Support, Ignite Sport, Wellington City Council, Upper Hutt Community Youth Trust, Masterton District Council, Carterton District Council and South Wairarapa District Council) have continued to prototype and deliver quality experiences to young women across the Wellington region.
From July 2018 to June 2019 we doubled the number of times young women participated in 'Just Shift It' (8291) compared to 2017/18 and delivered over 500 physical activity opportunities. We built confidence and capability in 343 young women through our 'LeadHERship' programme and delivered our programmes in partnership with a greater number of schools - 27 in total!
We undertook a pilot programme with Intermediate age young women, begun 'shifting' in the Wairarapa and built some pretty special new partnerships. But most importantly we have had a positive impact on the lives of kōhine (young women) from across the region and beyond.
