Upcoming Concert
Dear St. Michael's Family,
Please take note of a very special concert, this Friday:
Westminster celebrates the work Afro-Canadian composer R. Nathaniel Dett on the day of his birth. Westminster Jubilee Singers, conducted by Vinroy D. Brown Jr., is joined by faculty members Rochelle Ellis and Clipper Erickson, and special guests Zackary D. Ross and Marques L. A. Garrett for this special event.
In the style of Dett, the program will include works for piano, chorus and voice, as well as his poetry. Program highlights include Dett’s Enchantment and The Chariot Jubilee.
6:45 p.m. Pre-concert talk by Marques L. A. Garrett, Elsie Hilliard Hillman Visiting Lecturer.
