Kickoff Green Incubation Program in Jordan

Cewas Middle East launched the 2019-2020 Green Incubation Program in Jordan: 14 Start-Ups with innovative environmental business ideas started their journey and worked on better understanding the environmental market, analysing successful business cases and drafting their first business model. More than 15 alumni Start-Ups and mentors joined the training to support the new Start-Ups. Find out more about the programme here.

Babyloan Starts Water and Sanitation Crowdfunding Campaign
 
Babyloan has just launched their new access to water programme. Now the users of the crowdfunding platform can also finance WASH projects thanks to microcredit.  The Babyloan lenders, who can be individuals or corporations, will have two weeks to donate the sum of their choice, which will then be re-lent indefinitely for WASH projects.

11 Young Entrepreneurs Complete their Start-up Training with Cewas
 
Sensors for latrines in Kenya, sanitary pads made of banana pseudo-stem waste in Uganda or an Indian “tea bag” that purifies water...These are some of the innovative business ideas of this year's Young Water Solutions cohort. These 11 young entrepreneurs were in Switzerland this summer to hone their skills with cewas. Read more

BILADA:
Démocratiser l’accès à l’eau potable au Burkina Faso

Lorsqu’il a lancé l’association BILADA, Hamed Arthur Yo n’était encore qu’un étudiant avec un rêve : rendre l’eau potable accessible à large échelle au Burkina Faso. Dans ce pays, la majorité de la population n’a pas d’accès privilégié au réseau d’eau et continue à recourir à des sources d’eau souillées. Pour ce jeune biochimiste et microbiologiste, la solution est simple pourtant: il faut produire et distribuer du chlore (qui reste un des moyens les plus efficaces et peu coûteux pour purifier l'eau) localement. BILADA a reçu le soutien de la Fondation Antenna et de la technologie WATA et distribue aujourd’hui sa solution chlorée dans tout le Burkina Faso.  Lire l'interview
