October 2019 MSP Audio Geeks meetup

The October 2019 MSP Audio Geeks meetup is Wednesday, October 30th from 7-9pm at IPR. Thanks to Luke Harper for hosting us.

IPR (The Institute of Production and Recording) is a creative arts college in downtown Minneapolis that offers programs in Audio Production & Engineering, Digital Video & Media Production, Live Sound & Show Production and Sound Design for Visual Media. With its primary location Minneapolis and a satellite location in Edina (down the street from former Flyte Tyme Studios), our college offers the opportunity for our students in our creative programs to create and collaborate in our seven full-scale studios, as well as mix/edit suites, a professional live sound stage and production stages at our Edina location.

The IPR entrance is off of 1st Avenue. Please sign in at the front desk & wait for Luke.

Please note that IPR's school policy does not allow alcohol on campus, nor does it allow food or drink in the studios. You are welcome to bring non-alcoholic beverages as long as they are kept in the lobby area of the studio.

Audio Society of MN Meeting

Tuesday, October 15, 2019

The Audio Society of MN will host a presentation by John Stronczer of Bel Canto, an audio manufacturer well known and respected by Audio Society members and music lovers everywhere, for its October meeting.

John will discuss the latest Bel Canto products; their acclaimed Black and Black EX series, and newer; the e.One evolutionary line. All are manufactured here in Minneapolis.

Be prepared for a first look at great new products from Bel Canto and some very nice listening!

Attendance is free for all. Refreshments are served; guests, visitors, and new members are welcome to attend. The presentation begins at 7:00 PM, and they encourage you to join at 6:30 for more casual conversation.

Please try to arrive as close to 7:00 as reasonably possible to lessen the workload on the museum employees who kindly come in to open up just for them when the museum is normally closed.

Join: Individuals may join the ASM at any time by paying the annual dues of $25 at any meeting. Club dues for those who join after the December break are just $15.
