207-721-0678 • christine@mainefiberarts.org

Open for Maine Crafts Weekend, on Saturday, October 5, 11-2. Exhibition and reception for “Conversations: Paintings and Textiles” by Allegra Kuhn and Peter Walls, who will be on hand talking about their work.

Also on view: smaller works of art and craft by members, free tour maps to fiber studios, and a continuous slideshow about Maine’s fiber community. Refreshments served. Spinning demonstration. Join us!

The show continues until November 2 and we are open Wednesdays-Fridays, 11-4; Saturdays, 11-2.

Here comes the bus...

For the fourth year in a row, Craft Cruises, a major vessel touring the Maritimes and New England coast, docked in Portland and took two tour buses with 47 people to several fiber stops including Maine Fiberarts.

Many thanks to Linda Perry of Sheepscot Harbor Yarns who brought hand-dyed and indigo yarns and to Carolyn Wollen who demonstrated rigid heddle weaving. Our guests got to see a great exhibition and the work of our members.

Sell your items in our Art Shop

Dear Lovely Members,

We are gathering up items for Holiday Sales throughout November and December at Maine Fiberarts to go with our show of hooked rugs by Judy Wylie. We seek unique, lovely, handmade items that we can show off in our glass cases (measuring roughly 14.5” square) and post to our online Art Shop.

Email photos or be in touch to tell us about what you have. We seek one great item per member that would be perfect for gifts.

Above: “Hoo Dat?” hooked footstool by Chris Antonak, handwoven scarf by Rita Steinbach, crocheted tea cup by Jill Snyder Wallace.
