Dear colleagues,

We’re happy to announce the workshop on Total Scattering Measurements under High Pressure”It will take place at ORNL’s Shull Wollan Center on Monday and Tuesday 28-29th October 2019. The aim of this meeting is to gather a group of experts and interested researchers to discuss the opportunities and challenges of total scattering neutron measurements under pressure. It will comprise invited and contributed oral presentations, describing the current capabilities and the state of the art of the technique. Ample time will also be devoted to discussions. The goals that are set for this meeting are:
  • Identify scientific opportunities that require the combination of neutron total scattering measurements under high pressure.
  • Establish a roadmap for technique development, including methodology, data reduction and relevant standards.
  • Suggest equipment and software tools that should be deployed so that the technique becomes de-fact accessible to users.
The participation in this workshop is limited so, if interested, please register by October 12th. Successful registration will be announced by Oct 15. The workshop will have no registration fee, and working lunch and refreshments will be provided. Travel support is not available for general participants.
