Classroom Preferences Opening Soon!
Preference Checklist

EMS will be open from October 15th–November 8th for your department's spring term classroom preferences.
Balance Your Course Schedule

Your department's curriculum coordinator can determine if your course schedule is balanced.  Course times must also be compliant with the FAS academic schedule.
Enter Requested Room Capacity 

Confirm the "Requested Room Capacity" has been updated in the enrollment tab within the Schedule of Classes to match the size room you are looking for. 
Enter Classroom Preferences into EMS

Enter preferences by November 8th. New courses and meeting times will sync into EMS each morning. Space needs determined after November 8th will need to wait until other courses have been assigned space.
Input Department-Owned Space Preferences into EMS

If department space reservations are not entered as a preference into EMS, courses will be listed with a "TBD" location.
Spring Timeline
  • Early December: Tentative assignments sent to departments
  • Mid December: Classroom assignments emailed to instructors
  • Early January: Locations visible in my.harvard
  • Early January: Roombook open for event and section requests
Upcoming EMS Trainings

Learn how to enter course room preferences for spaces controlled by the Registrar’s Office, your department-owned rooms, and department rooms that another school/department owns and has already confirmed. We will also review and edit the course room preferences entered.
