Notices

Daylight Savings This Week (October 6)
Clocks need to be put forward one hour on Saturday night.

Fire Drill
We will be conducting an evacuation fire drill for the Cathedral at the end of the 10.30am service next Sunday, 13 October. This is nothing to be alarmed about, but is needed to ensure we have the best procedures in place in the unlikely event that an evacuation might be necessary at some time in the future. We will evacuate the building to the car park, and then move to the Barbara Darling Room to share in morning tea as per usual.

Professional Standards Workshop
Volunteers who are yet to attend a professional standards seminar are encouraged to sign up for the one in the David Penman Room on Friday 25 October (10am-3pm). If you don’t know whether you are required to attend a workshop or not, you can email compliance@stpauslcathedral.org.au to check. Bookings can be made via this link: www.trybooking.com/BEEBM or by calling the Cathedral Office

Congregational Lunch (Fundraising for Cambodia Project)
A congregational lunch will be held in the Barbara Darling Room on Sunday 20 October following the 10.30am service.  There will be silent auctions and other opportunities to help raise funds to support the work of the Cathedral’s Cambodia Project in January 2020.  Do plan to come if you can.

Welcomers Needed
For the Synod Eucharist on Wednesday 16 October at 7.00pm.  If you are available to assist with the welcome of the congregation at this service, please let Andrew know 9653 4210 or avictorsen@stpaulscathedral.org.au. If anyone is interested in helping as a welcomer at regular Cathedral services, particularly on Sunday nights, please also contact Andrew.

Pledges to support the Canon Missioner
It is now 6 months since we welcomed our new Canon Missioner, the Revd Canon Robert Vun, to minister here at the Cathedral. This appointment was possible through your generous pledges towards funding this new role. We are very grateful for the extraordinary response of the congregation! If you are yet to fulfil your pledge of support, would you please be so kind as to do so? You can place your donation in an envelope in the offertory plate with a note detailing how much you have pledged, or donate via direct debit, using these details: Account Name: St. Paul’s Cathedral, Bank: Anglican Development Fund. BSB: 703-122. Account Number: 05009216. It would be important to insert Reference: ‘Canon Missioner’. Many thanks!

Next Seniors Meeting
The next Cathedral Seniors meeting will be held at 2.00pm on Friday, October 25 in the Barbara Darling Room. Everyone is welcome to attend irrespective of age. Feel free to bring along a friend.
