LOCAL: Could your business provide work experience for the lawyers of tomorrow?
At the University of Portsmouth, we train law students to become educated and conscientious lawyers. Working with the law requires experience and an understanding of the priorities and challenges that businesses face every day. Could your business host a law student for a day to give them a taste of working life? This scheme is open to any business and is not restricted to law firms.
If you are interested in providing experience for our student lawyers please call 023 9284 4819 or email pat.feast@port.ac.uk

BUSINESSTALK: Healthy ecology, healthy economy
Have you ever wondered why some countries are more developed than others?
For Professor Pierre Failler, his curiosity led to a globetrotting career, providing solutions to development challenges that also encompass environmental protection.
"When you talk about the blue economy, people just think about making money from the ocean, out of the mangroves. I help them to realise that the protection of the environment can have more monetary value."
Pierre Failer - Department of Economics and Finance.
