October, colors and light
Dear Friends,
I just returned back from 2 inspirational and restorative trips - the first teaching at Kripalu in the Berkshires, and then off to Newfoundland, Canada to teach at the Unscripted Twillingate Digital Arts Festival (if you'd like to see some of my images from these trips, please visit my Instagram account). Now it's back to the hustle and bustle of city life!
My Croatia workshop in March has a deposit deadline coming up. Please see side bar for more info.
Tis the season for family portraits. If you are interested in having your family photographed, please email me ASAP to reserve your date and time.

Tips For Shooting In The Fall
As the season and temperatures shift, there tends to be more dramatic skies and storms. Make sure to have your camera with you to document the before, during, and after.
- Look all over! Don't be afraid to move and get close to an object. You know you're close enough when you can touch it.
- Look for light, and notice how it changes the color of a leaf or a blade of grass.
- Don't hesitate to return to a location at different times of the day - you'll notice a shift in the mood or atmosphere depending on light and weather conditions.
- Follow your heart and be open. It will lead you to where the photographs are.
- Go out and shoot! You may have no idea what kind of photos you want to take, but there is always something that wants to be captured.
