Auckland: Then and Now
Title card for 'Auckland: Then and Now'

For Auckland Heritage Festival, we had a look through the archives for footage of historic Auckland. We then spent the day filming all over the city, matching old shots with new to create 'Auckland: Then and Now'. See how things have changed over the last century around the CBD, the Domain, Devonport, the Harbour Bridge, Mission Bay and Onehunga.

Ngāi Tūhoe and Te Urewera
Still from Rippling Waters. Lake Waikaremoana (F2317)

Te Urewera is the rich and biodiverse homeland of Ngāi Tūhoe. The mountains and valleys of Te Urewera have long been a place for cultural traditions to be held strong. Our online catalogue holds many recordings that cover the history of the people and the land.
