Dear Fellow Supporters of Integrated Reporting
October 7, 2019 Special Edition on the “White Paper” and Carbon Reporting
Many of you will recall that Professor Richard Barker and I wrote a “Green Paper” titled “
Should FASB and IASB be responsible for setting standards for nonfinancial information?
” This was the basis of a
debate
at The Oxford Union and here is the
transcript
. The debate was followed by dinner and a
keynote speech
by Ms. Veronica Poole,
Deloitte's
Global IFRS Leader and UK National Head of Accounting and Corporate Reporting.
In our paper Richard and I promised to write a “White Paper” in which we would present on our view, informed by our research for the “Green Paper,” the debate, and many conversations we’ve had on this topic. “
Charting the path to standards for nonfinancial information
” is available on the Said Business School “
The future of corporate reporting website
.” We will continue to contribute our thoughts and would encourage you to do the same. If you are interested in posting a short piece on this website, you can contact us at
Richard.Barker@sbs.ox.ac.uk
or
Robert.Eccles@sbs.ox.ac.uk
.
Richard has already written a follow up piece titled “
The urgent priority of carbon reporting
” which was
featured
on the “Moral Money” platform of the
Financial Times
on October 2, 2019.
Kind regards,
Bob
