Dear Fellow Supporters of Integrated Reporting

October 7, 2019 Special Edition on the “White Paper” and Carbon Reporting

Many of you will recall that Professor Richard Barker and I wrote a “Green Paper” titled “Should FASB and IASB be responsible for setting standards for nonfinancial information?” This was the basis of a debate at The Oxford Union and here is the transcript. The debate was followed by dinner and a keynote speech by Ms. Veronica Poole, Deloitte's Global IFRS Leader and UK National Head of Accounting and Corporate Reporting.

In our paper Richard and I promised to write a “White Paper” in which we would present on our view, informed by our research for the “Green Paper,” the debate, and many conversations we’ve had on this topic. “Charting the path to standards for nonfinancial information” is available on the Said Business School “The future of corporate reporting website.” We will continue to contribute our thoughts and would encourage you to do the same. If you are interested in posting a short piece on this website, you can contact us at Richard.Barker@sbs.ox.ac.uk or Robert.Eccles@sbs.ox.ac.uk.

Richard has already written a follow up piece titled “The urgent priority of carbon reporting” which was featured on the “Moral Money” platform of the Financial Times on October 2, 2019.
Kind regards,

Bob
