Guardian Angels exists to reach out from the Altar of Christ to educate, serve and evangelize.

Week of October 4, 2019:

Greetings to all of our GA families!

We have great news to share! This past week Guardian Angels School received two very generous donations - $10,000 from Catholic Community Foundation and $20,000 from an anonymous donor. Both of these donations are for tuition assistance. These funds will help several of our families who otherwise would be unable to pay for their child’s Catholic education.

This afternoon we kicked-off our annual Rake-A-Thon fundraiser for the school. Our goal this year is $15,000. These funds will go to support our performing arts and Stem (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) programs. Students can begin raising funds this weekend. This year we have added an online component to allow donors to pay by credit card. Information about Rake-A-Thon and online giving was sent home with your child today. Please review all of the materials enclosed in the envelope.

The entire school will be raking leaves for the elderly in our community within walking distance from our school on Friday, November 1st. We are in need of several volunteers to help rake, bake cookies and pick up the bags of leaves. Be sure to let us know if you know of an elderly and/or disabled persons close by who could use our help. This event gives our GA family an opportunity to give back to the community around us and spread God’s love. We hope to see you on November 1st.

End of Day Reminders:

Please email or send in notification to Roxie Diaz in the front office for any transportation change by 3:00 pm. This includes students walking home, riding a different bus or getting a ride home with a friend. For security purposes, we need this information early so that teachers can be informed of the changes.

Please park outside of the bus loading and unloading zone before and after school. Busses need plenty of space to pull in and out. They are on a tight time schedule and worry about safety.

Have a safe and wonderful weekend!

God bless!

INCREDIBLE TEACHER CONTEST
Do you have an incredible teacher (or two, or three, or MANY!) in your school? Of course you do! Nominations are officially open for the Incredible Teacher contest on CSCOE's social media channels. Encourage your school parents (and students, where applicable) to nominate their teacher on social media. Here is a flier to spread the word.

Multicolor Hikes  Great for MEA Break

Visitors often ask about the best places to hike in Minnesota, especially during fall, when a walk in the woods can provide first-hand views of the most amazing and colorful foliage. The Minnesota HikeFinder can help you discover recommended hikes for just about every Minnesota state park and recreation area. To keep up with fall color changes across Minnesota check out our weekly fall color report

Where will you take your multicolor hike this fall?  Share your stories and photos with us.

Happy Trails!

Rake-a-thon Kick-off was today!

We have a new song that we are going to be singing to get everyone in the spirit of the event.  It is to the tune of the Addam's Family.  Get involved with us and sing the song, written by Mrs. Podominick. You can also help out by signing up to help out during our event.  Thank you!

“Raking It Up”
(to the tune of “The Addam’s Family)

Raking it up, (snap, snap)
Raking it up, (snap, snap)
Raking it up,
Cleaning it up,
Earning enough (snap, snap)

We’re raking and we’re bagging.
Our feet should not be dragging.
Our spirits are not lagging
In the G.A. family!

No mistake, (snap, snap)
Let’s rake, (snap, snap)
Earn a break,
Now get out and rake,
For G. A.’s sake! (snap, snap)
