Week of October 4, 2019:
Greetings to all of our GA families!
We have great news to share! This past week Guardian Angels School received two very generous donations - $10,000 from Catholic Community Foundation and $20,000 from an anonymous donor. Both of these donations are for tuition assistance. These funds will help several of our families who otherwise would be unable to pay for their child’s Catholic education.
This afternoon we kicked-off our annual Rake-A-Thon fundraiser for the school. Our goal this year is $15,000. These funds will go to support our performing arts and Stem (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) programs. Students can begin raising funds this weekend. This year we have added an online component to allow donors to pay by credit card. Information about Rake-A-Thon and online giving was sent home with your child today. Please review all of the materials enclosed in the envelope.
The entire school will be raking leaves for the elderly in our community within walking distance from our school on Friday, November 1st. We are in need of several volunteers to help rake, bake cookies and pick up the bags of leaves. Be sure to let us know if you know of an elderly and/or disabled persons close by who could use our help. This event gives our GA family an opportunity to give back to the community around us and spread God’s love. We hope to see you on November 1st.
End of Day Reminders:
Please email or send in notification to Roxie Diaz in the front office for any transportation change by 3:00 pm. This includes students walking home, riding a different bus or getting a ride home with a friend. For security purposes, we need this information early so that teachers can be informed of the changes.
Please park outside of the bus loading and unloading zone before and after school. Busses need plenty of space to pull in and out. They are on a tight time schedule and worry about safety.
Have a safe and wonderful weekend!
God bless!
