Biketober, we've missed you! Welcome back.
ACTION ALERT!
The City of Phoenix recently reneged on its promise of bike lanes on Roosevelt between First and 7th Avenues. Cyclists objected; now there's a meeting on Monday, October 28, 7 to 8:30 PM at Burton Barr Library, to seek input about "potential east-west bicycle connectivity options ... potentially including but not limited to Portland, Roosevelt, McKinley and Fillmore Streets." Uh...yes, please! We'll take all four, thanks. It's time to SPEAK UP.
Carmageddon Coming?
ADOT is planning major work on the congested Broadway curve area of I-10. Construction will take years and divert thousands of cars daily to already-crowded surface streets. Careful planning will be critical. Find out more and share your thoughts
Bike lockers removed
An observant cyclist asked City of Phoenix Public Transit why they replaced bike lockers at park-and-ride lots with racks. They replied via Twitter that the lockers were being misused and "the change happened to address safety concerns." May we suggest some Bike Lid lockers like Peoria recently installed

Our bicycle valet parking services remain popular. Upcoming gigs include the Rob Dollar ride, Arizona Fall Festival, and Pizza and Donut festivals next month. Volunteers get perks! Check it out.
Second Saturday ride
Join us at Bicycle Nomad Cafe the second Saturday morning every month. We're back to our COOL WEATHER HOURS! Gather at 8 AM, roll around 9 for 10-12 leisurely miles. Check our Facebook page for route info. See you there?
Biketober means Bike Bazaar!
Join Saturday, October 26 for the fifth annual Bike Bazaar at the Phoenix Public Market. Get there early and join our free ride before you shop. Got bike stuff? Reserve a booth and trade it for some money.
Rob Dollar ride
The Rob Dollar Foundation promotes bike safety and awareness. The second annual Rob Dollar ride on Sunday, October 27, will commemorate the lost road rider and support their work. Their campaign for a Share the Road license plate is ongoing.
