LEHS Weekly Informational Letter
October 7, 2019
Dear LEHS Community,
We had a great week of school last week as we celebrated Homecoming. Student participation throughout the week was higher than ever before. We welcomed back the Class of 1969 as they celebrated their 50th reunion. The culture around LEHS this year is amazing and we owe a great deal of gratitude to our students and families for supporting our school in a positive manner.
Sincerely,
Nate Smith
Principal
Social Media awareness and protecting yourself online
On Wednesday of last week our students met with our School Resource Officer Deputy Phil Relli, Pickaway County Juvenile Prosecutor Justin Benedict, and High School Principal Nate Smith. The purpose of this meeting was to help inform students on the dangers of social media, protecting yourself online, and to help students understand that their actions online will NEVER disappear.
Thursday Night Bonfire
The Varsity Club led an amazing Bonfire on Thursday evening to celebrate Homecoming week with some fun activities for students after school. We had a great turnout of students who were able to compete in a highly competitive cornhole tournament, roast hot dogs, eat french fries donated by the Band Boosters, and celebrate school comradery as we prepare for our rival Circleville.
End of the first nine weeks
The first nine weeks concludes next Tuesday the 15th. Please encourage your child to pay close attention to their grades and ask as many questions as possible to their teachers. We all want our kids to get “good grades”, however it’s more important for them to understand the content so they are better prepared for classes down the road AND together we help build responsible young adults.
