Consumers have been willing to overlook lasting damage, happy instead to buy more and more without questioning the environmental impacts. Introduction to Textiles training course
This three day intensive training short course, offered twice a year (Usually March and October) in Manchester, is organised for the benefit of all those who are engaged in the manufacture, research and development as well as the commercial aspects of textiles business.
The course is split into seven sessions covering;
Fibres; their production, properties and areas of application.
Yarns; their production, properties and areas of application.
Weaving; yarn preparation, fabric production, fabric structure, fabric properties and areas of application.
Warp and weft knitting; fabric production, fabric structure, fabric properties and areas of application.
Non-woven Fabrics; classification, web formation, wet-laid, dry-laid and polymer-laid fabric production, fabric properties
and areas of application.
Dyeing & Finishing; preparatory processes for different textile materials, dyeing, principles of colouration.
Fabric Testing & Analysis; fabric performance, fabric specifications, fabric testing and analysis.
