October 2019 Presidents' Message

Members,

With our continued heat wave, it doesn't seem like October is really here.

But.....our Annual Book Sale is just around the corner. We've gotten some last push of donations so we will have pricing and sorting next week.

Also, our general meeting is postponed from Tuesday, October 8 to TUESDAY, OCTOBER 15.

Book Sale set-up will be Wednesday, October 16 at the Galleria Mall and the Sale runs October 17-19. Be sure to let Marlene know when you'll be able to work.

See you on the 15th!

Carrie and Laurie

 Book Sale Update

 IT'S ALMOST HERE!

Well, here it is--the beginning of October, and our sale, earlier than usual this year, is almost here!

The plea for help in book donations worked! At least six calls were received, and books were picked up. I actually had a call from the Peach County Library in Byron, asking if I would like some of the books that had been donated to them. Naturally I said yes. I filled my car and will probably go back for more. I am waiting to hear back from two people who promised they would get me books after they saw my request!

We will continue sorting until the 10th of October. If you have not already signed up to help with the sale, please contact me and let me know when you are available. (mhumphry@cox.net or 478 918-3666)

The Book sale dates this year are October 17-19 with set up on the 16th. Please come help!

Marlene

RIF NEWS

The first RIF distributions of the year will be held on Wednesday, November 6 at Byron Elementary and on Tuesday, November 12 at Cherished  Children. Over a thousand books have been ordered that will need to be stamped before the first distribution. Keep a watch on the Google Group for the date of a stamping party at Margaret's. And if you're available, put one or both of these distribution dates on your calendar - there are few things more fun that watching chidden receive their very own books!
