Coaching Package for Writers
The sisters #eastcoastbooktour was a great success! Author Nancy J. Miller and illustrator Janet C. Hignight flew from Sacramento, California to Orlando, Florida and drove up the east coast to Alexandria visiting kids, grandkids, nieces and nephews along the way. We had fun sharing The Vegetable Kids Cafeteria Club and Vegetable Kids in the Garden with pictures and videos. We even snuck a photo of Mabel reading about the antics of Max in the cafeteria from her comfy chair.
A family trip is a great way to network, market through conversation and fun activities to grow your business. Writing the Vegetable Kids books has been a family affair with kids and grandkids giving us ideas, critiques, and feedback providing an amazing process for creating and publishing stories. When creative entrepreneurs work together great things happen. I had to laugh out loud when I saw this video clip from The Vegetable Kids Cafeteria Club. Somebody could hardly contain himself when he heard about Miles’ tooth flying into the almond butter. Wait til you hear what happens next.

Thank you to all of our new subscribers and those who purchased Vegetable Kids books at the Carmichael Founders Day Festival. It was a little sad to see kids who wanted to buy The Vegetable Kids Cafeteria Club but didn’t have any money. Our hearts wanted to give every one of them a book, but we gave them vegetable key chains instead. It would have been fun to have these stylish girls model them as earrings. The kids would have loved it!
The girls love coloring. They each colored a different page in The Vegetable Kids Cafeteria Club.
We will have books and coloring pages at the Great Valley Bookfest Celebrating the Fun of Reading! October 12th from 10:00-4:00 in Manteca, CA. If you are in the area, come by and see our selection of books.

A job seeker would do well to list accomplishments they are proud of and challenges they faced along the way. Next they want to give examples or paragraph stories about each accomplishment or challenge and then how they resolved it. Taking the time to write a short story first, will help the job seeker create their story in concise bullet points, with examples to fit the team they want to be a part of. Writing your resume as a story first will help you find the important nuggets and then answer the Tell Me About Yourself interview question––that is not really a question––but a heart stopper for some. https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/eight-ways-book-like-resume-miller-m-s-creative-lifework-design/
