Frozen Sun
I couldn't wait until the days started getting longer. Now they are. Still, I had to buy a therapy lamp this year to cope with SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder).

I've been writing a lot, but not all of it has been fiction. Recent and ongoing projects:

I'm looking forward to some actual writing time during the holiday break from work. Be well, and warm.

The Nymphricuse

The first entry in Dreams, Illustrated: the Medium publication I'm using to publish entries from my dream journals, inelegantly illustrated.
Ranch house on Grant-Kohrs Ranch National Historic Site

Ranch Romance (NaNoWriMo 2019)

I've never written a romance novel before. My friend Lisa and I plotted it on a previous visit to her ranch in Montana. Definitely needs more squishy stuff! Local fixture Doris and local boy turned developer Richard must sort out family and water rights complications before they can even think about a relationship. This image from the Grant-Kohrs Ranch National Historic Site is what I imagine Doris's house on the original ranch property might look like.

It Ain't Kansas, Toto, it's Lana's World: Feminist cartoons and humor from Lana's World fanzine 1989-1991

All 11 issues from 1989-1991 have been digitized as a print replica book and are now available for sale on Amazon.

The Passion of Expression

This Patreon post explains why this image captures some essential elements of what I believe art and creativity are all about.

Past my bedtime: Rage by Zygmunt Miloszewski

Third in a series, a Polish crime novel starring famous prosecutor Teodor Szacki (something like an assistant DA in the US). Here, he investigates the criminal origins of a skeleton discovered at a construction site in the idyllic Polish city of Olsztyn. Fascinating look into Poland and Polish culture, social issues and politics.
