Immigration 101 Series - Fact vs Fiction

 "The Myth of 'Economics/Crime' "

The third and final session of Immigration Series 101:  FACT vs FICTION  will be held Thursday, November 14, at Immaculate Conception Church, lower level, in the St. Francis Room.  The Immigration Committee is excited to have four outstanding panelists who will present content focused on the theme, "Undocumented Immigrants: Economics and Crime".  Speakers will represent law enforcement (Sheriff Lowell Griffin, Henderson County); agribusiness (Bert Lemkes); regional economical impact (Corey Atkins); and banking (Efren Vintimilla).

Brown bag lunch is suggested if you prefer to come at 11:00 AM.  Program will begin promptly at 11:30 and end at 1:00 PM.

In anticipation of the crowd, arrangements have been made to park in the First United Methodist Church lot. Entrances are on Buncombe Street or 6th Avenue. The Church Street entrance to Immaculate Conception parking is entirely reserved for handicapped parking.

What Teaching Ethics in Appalachia Taught Me About Bridging America’s Partisan Divide: There’s a language for talking about hot-button issues. And we’re not learning it.
