“Nutrients for the nervous system” is what nature connection guru Jon Young labeled sit spot during his recent holistic tracking workshop.

I couldn't agree more. Sit spot is one of my most treasured nature connection practices and something I try to do most days. I notice the difference when I skip it for a while.

Your sit spot is a place where you sit still, alone, often and quietly. Mine is in bushland, but a quiet corner of your urban backyard is equally suitable. It’s about getting to know one place really well at all times of day, in all seasons. You sit, clear your mind, and tune in to your senses. You listen, watch, smell, touch, and intuit.

Sit spot is one of the nature connection techniques we’ll be exploring at the upcoming one-day Inside Time Outside nature connection retreat.

We’ll be gathering 10am - 4pm Sunday 10th November at my place in the Hunter Valley (around 1 hour from Newcastle). The cost is $80 including lunch and morning and afternoon tea.

Bookings and more information at insidetimeoutside.eventbrite.com.

Please don't let finances be what prevents you from coming to this workshop. I am happy to trade. Simply respond to this email to discuss.
My sit spot moved to beneath this beautiful banksia while I was at the tracking workshop.
