CHAIRMAN'S CORNER

Hi all

Well it has been another busy start to the season with us welcoming lots of new players and coaches.  It is good to see new teams being set up and new managers volunteering their time to providing youth football.

Once again we are very pleased to have two new U7s teams this season. They have already enjoyed their seeding games and look set to grow under the guidance of Matt and Jamie.  We also have new teams in the U8s and U10s age groups and a new girls team in the U11s.

You should already have received information about the Meadow Sports Annual Tour for 2020, which will be to Woolacombe and is taking place over the May 8th Bank Holiday weekend.  For further information please ask your child's team manager or parent rep or contact us on meadowsocial@gmail.com  Please note that the deposit payments are due this Thursday, the 31st of October.

This Friday we are holding a Halloween themed Chairman’s BBQ.  Please come down and enjoy the usual quality burgers and sausages from Vincent’s butchers, washed down with a tipple from the bar, plus a few spooky treats.

Saturday sees England in the Rugby World Cup final Against South Africa and with the clubhouse open it’s a great place to have breakfast and a beer and watch the game on the big screen!

We are still looking for volunteers to organise the annual Christmas party on Friday the 6th of December. If you can help please email on meadowsocial@gmail.com

Enjoy the rest of the Half Term week. I look forward to seeing you on Friday.

All the best
Karl Hammans

Can we please remind you all to park responsibly both at the Meadow car park and in the surrounding areas.  Please do not park on the pavements or around residents' driveways.  It is particularly important not to park at the junction of St Martha's Ave on the Loop Road staggered crossroads.

it is important to ensure that we park responsibly, and in particular to avoid parking on the pavement or around the driveways of our neighbours in Loop Road and Vicarage Road. If the car park is full you can park in Woking FCs car park and take the footpaths from Kingfield Close or Westfield Grove to the playing fields. All away teams have been asked to park at Woking FC as well.

Thank you for your understanding.
