Evergreen Bridge Club

Evergreen PTSA is offering a bridge club program. Lessons will be taught by experienced bridge masters (approved LWSD volunteers). The club is free of charge to students. Please contact Rui Gong, Chair of Bridge to register, or simply stop by the library to try it out! The club will offer a few trial sessions next week.
When: Tuesday October 15 and Thursday October 17 3 - 5 pm

Evergreen Ski Bus 2019-20

This is a mandatory meeting for parents who will sign their kids up. Please click here to see the detailed information sheet.

Reflections 


Student entry form for Reflections is ready!

Calling all artists and performers to participate the 50th Reflections arts contest! Showcase your talent and share your story by entering this year's Reflections Art contest, sponsored by the National PTA and your EMS PTSA. Look Within is the theme this year. You may submit artwork in one, or more of the following six art categories: Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, and Visual Arts.

Student winners from Evergreen have the opportunity to move up to the local, state, and even the national level competition. National Reflections winners will be announced in May and celebrated at National PTA's Convention & Expo in June

The submission deadline is November 4, 2019. Download the student entry form  and click here for more details, rules and key dates.

Your PTSA Needs you!


We are looking for a few chairs to round up your PTSA and deliver the best outcomes for our students and staff. Please contact our Volunteer Coordinator if you are interested! 
  • VP Advocacy - Focuses on legislative issues related to or affecting our students, staff, school, and district. Attends monthly board meetings.
  • Co-VP Enrichment - Oversees the management of enrichment programs offered by PTSA. Makes proposals for new opportunities based on community needs. Works closely with other VPs and Chairs to achieve PTSA missions. Attends monthly board meetings.
  • Technical Officer -  Manages and maintains all the online tools being used for PTSA functions.

Setting Up Automatic Emails for Missing Assignments

Parents and families can choose to receive an automatic notification once each day about the existence of any assignments marked by a teacher as missing. Visit this LWSD link for step-by-step instructions on how to setup automatic email notifications for missing assignments. 

Evergreen Ski Bus 2019-20 is happening!

6 week program. 5 weeks of 1.25 hr lessons (final week is free ski).
Wednesday, January 8—Wednesday, February 12
Sign up for: Ski or Snowboard lessons + bus OR bus only (skilled skiers/boarders).

Photos of Veterans Needed for Veterans Day Assembly Slide Show


For Veterans Day this year, we are hoping to honor veterans with a slide show during our Veterans Day assembly. ASB and Leadership students are asking you for pictures of your friends or family that have served in any branch of the Armed Forces. With each photo submitted, we would appreciate if you could give us the following information for each veteran:
  1. The first and last name of the veteran
  2. The branch of military in which they served
  3. Years of service
  4. The veteran’s relationship to which Evergreen students
Please send email to:
  • send one photo of each veteran with the accompanying information.
  • check to see if you may have already submitted last year.
  • let us know if there is a sibling name change that needs to accommodate the previous years' photos as well.
The deadline for photo submission is Friday, November 1.  

Catalyst Club - Computer classes for Middle school students


Registrations are open for Catalyst Club - Computer classes for Middle school students (4th to 8th grade) run by High School Volunteer students. Interested students can click here to register. Classes are starting from November 17 in Redmond

Eric T. Peterson is a band teacher at Evergreen Middle School. What sets him apart is his commitment to band and his ability to connect with his students on a personal level. His fun sense of humor, brilliant knowledge and teaching style have been reasons why students flock to his class.

Complete / Renew your LWSD Volunteer Application 

All parents volunteering in school must be cleared by the school district without exception. Your volunteer clearance is good for two years. Please follow the instructions in this link to apply/renew your LWSD volunteer clearance.
