YAWP Saturdays Spotlight

Whose Future? Our Future

with Maria A Pinto
Saturday, October 26th
12:00pm to 4:00pm

In these troubled times, when it can feel like we're doomed to repeat the worst parts of our collective past due to a lack of ability to imagine better for ourselves, it is more important than ever for writers and other artists to dream up a tomorrow that reflects the richness of our plurality. We'll read and watch texts by artists like Octavia Butler, Janelle Monae, N. K. Jemisin, and Margaret Atwood, and free our stories from cliched futures.
