Early admission deadline is December 1

December 1 is the deadline to apply for early admission* for the 2020 Fall Term (September) for:

*Students must submit transcripts and supporting documents by December 1 for early admission.

How to apply

Combined Kinesiology and Education program

Students are now able to enter directly from high school into the Combined Bachelor of Science Kinesiology/Bachelor of Education program.

This five-year program is designed for students who intend to teach physical education at the Secondary level.

The benefit of this combined degree is that you will graduate in five years with two degrees with a concentrated knowledge of teaching physical education to high school students.

Best and Brightest Entrance Scholarships

Best and Brightest Entrance Scholarships are USask’s highest valued, renewable entrance scholarships and are awarded based on academics, leadership and contributions to school and community life. These scholarships are valued up to $40,000.

Five of these awards, known as the Circle of Honour Awards, are designated for Indigenous students.

Nominate a Schulich Leader by Jan. 29, 2020

Schulich Leader Scholarships are Canada’s most coveted undergraduate STEM scholarships.

Fifty are awarded each year to entrepreneurial-minded high school graduates enrolling in a science, technology, engineering or math program at 20 partner universities across Canada, including USask.

Twenty-five are valued at $100,000 for engineering scholarships and 25 are valued at $80,000 for science and math scholarships.

Every high school in Canada can nominate one graduating student each year to apply for the scholarship, and each partner university can provide two Schulich Leader Scholarships each year.

Residence applications open

Applications to live in the University of Saskatchewan (USask) Residences for Fall 2020 are now open. Students should apply to live in Residence as early as possible. Applications are considered on a first come, first served basis, regardless of students' admission status.

First year students
Students entering their first year of studies at USask will receive guaranteed placement at Voyageur Place Residence if they apply for Residence before January 31, 2020.

Residence offers a safe, study-oriented setting, access to nutritious and delicious dining options and continuous academic and personal support to help contribute to students' success. How to apply for Residence
1) Log into PAWS using your NSID and password that you receive when you apply for admission.
2) Type Residence into the PAWS search bar. The Residence PAWS channel will appear.
3) Create a Residence account. Once your account is complete, you will be redirected to the Residence Housing Portal to compete your application.

Join us for "What is Engineering?"

Friday, November 15, 2019 ● 9 am–3:30 pm
University of Saskatchewan, Saskatoon campus

At this event, students will learn what an engineer does, why engineering is about more than math and science and why employers want to hire USask engineers.

At "What is Engineering?" students will experience:

hands-on activities
discussions with engineering students, current engineers, and our professors
a building tour and a sample engineering lecture from an award-winning professor

We will also be offering Apply on the Spot at this event. We will have USask admissions staff help students with their application and answer any questions they may have.

Guidance counsellors, parents and other advisors are invited to attend a special question-and-answer session to learn more about USask Engineering.
