Arigatou International is pleased to invite you to the Geneva Peace Week event: Rethinking Peacebuilding Theory and Practice enhancing peacebuilding initiatives with the integration of early childhood development, to be held on 04 November 2019, at Maison de la Paix, from 13:30 to 15:00.

During this event, we invite you to:
  • Reflect on early childhood development programs and how they can contribute to peacebuilding processes;
  • Discuss how nurturing care and nurturing values and spirituality in the early years can contribute to foster a culture of peace;
  • Explore the role of religious leaders challenging harmful social and cultural norms, and advocating to transform laws and policies.
Panelists:
  • Dr. Bernadette Daelmans, Coordinator, Policy, Planning and Programmes, Department of Maternal, Newborn, Child and Adolescent Health – World Health Organisation.
     
  • Ms. Valérie Bichelmeier, Vice President – Make Mothers Matter. Member of Early Childhood and Peace Consortium (ECPC)
     
  • Ms. Aleksandra Jovic, Early Childhood Development Specialist – UNICEF, Europe and Central Asia Regional Office
     
  • Ms. Maria Lucia Uribe, Director – Arigatou International Geneva, and Convener of the International Consortium on Nurturing Values and Spirituality for the Prevention of Violence in Early Childhood.

The panel discussion will be moderated by Mr. Peter Prove, Director of the Commission of the Churches on International Affairs – World Council of Churches.
