Posted by Mollie Simon on Oct. 15, 2019 Darin Gardner, who served a three-month stint as Rep. Kay Granger's (R-TX) chief of staff back in 2015, is now starting his own lobbying firm. Gardner had previously worked in Granger's officer from 2002 to 2005 as a legislative assistant and then legislative director. Before registering Maryland-based D.L. Gardner and Associates as a business in September, Gardner worked as a partner at Jochum Shore & Trossevin PC. In that role, he lobbied for companies including Google and Target. His first registered client for the new firm is Cipla USA Inc., the U.S. arm of a global pharmaceutical company. According to his LinkedIn, Gardner "advises clients on various aspects of early drug, device, diagnostics and medical technology development."
