We are celebrating the start of three new Placements in our Presbytery, over the next three months.
The Inductions will take place on the following dates:

Amanda Hay (Exit Candidate) Induction at Berowra UC: 
This Sunday 20 October 2019 2pm

Rev Yangrae Son (previously from Northbridge UC) Induction at Killara (Fiveways) UC:
Sunday 17 November 2019 2:30pm 

Rev Peter Chung (previously from Carlingford UC) Induction at Cherrybrook UC: 
Friday 13 December 2019 7pm


We are excited for these congregations each starting a new chapter!

Mr. Hugh Macready
Date of Death: 6 October 2019
Hugh Macready was the husband of Kate, father of Owen and Laurie and son-in-law of Rev. Robyn Lyons. Robyn is Minister in Supply at Kincumber.
Hugh was tragically killed in a boating accident.
Funeral details to be advised at a later date.
Please keep the family in your thoughts and prayers.
Pastoral Care training with Sharonne Price
Everyone is invited to two special events with Sharonne Price, author of "Soulstice" and "Pastoral Partners" and former  Executive Officer of the Pastoral Relations and Mission Planning ministry centre for the UCA in SA.

On Friday October 25th, at 7pm, Willoughby Uniting Church will be hosting an evening entitled "Christians Caring in a Secular World" - exploring how we take the love of God into the world around us, caring for those we encounter day by day.

On Saturday October 26th, at 9am, Sharonne will be leading a workshop at Roseville Uniting Church, entitled "From Congregations to Healing Communities" - how do we better care for one another within the community of faith.

Entrance to each event is $10.

Contemporary Mission and Evangelism Intensive Course

Starts Wed 30 Oct
Are you interested in the mission of the church?
Want to find out how social, cultural and contextual challenges influence you in your ministry context?
The next intensive being held at UTC in the Centre for Ministry North Parramatta is Contemporary Mission and Evangelism. An introduction to the course will be held on Wednesday 30 October.
Then 5 days from 25th of November – 29th of November.
This course will allow students to create a personal approach to contemporary mission and to apply more effective forms of mission and evangelism.
You may wish to partake in this course out of interest only and be part of the dynamic conversation.
