Stranger in the Attic
StageWest Community Theatre presents Stranger in the Attic at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 639 Elm Street. Set in the country home of freelance writer Brian Hollander and his wife Dana, the couple’s quiet life is unexpectedly upset by the arrival of a stranger named Kendrick, who is offering an exclusive story to Brian about a murder that has not happened yet. Adults $15; Seniors $10; Students with ID $5. Tickets online or at the door. Dinner Theater Oct 19 $30, reserve now.

River & Sea Monsters
Sunday (Oct 20) 1:30 - 2:30 pm at Cheney Public Library, 610 1st Street, David George Gordon describes the state of our understanding of hidden animals and monsters, studied within the field of Cryptozoology. Gordon discusses Ogopogo, a purported inhabitant of Lake Okanagan in British Columbia, and a sea monster professed to live off the Washington coast. Other unexplained creatures include Scotland’s Loch Ness monster, Tibet’s Abominable Snowman or Yeti, and Mokele-mbembe, a miniature long-necked dinosaur, reportedly from central African swamps. FREE

Exhibits at EWU
Rob McKirdie: Embedded Consciousness through October 25 at the EWU Gallery of Art, 7th & Washington. An exhibition of mixed media sculpture by the Spokane artist. The Gallery is open Monday - Friday 9 am to 5 pm except holidays. FREE
Ceramic Spectrum features a collection of ceramic objects created by EWU instructors, students, alumni, and a few friends on the lower level of JFK Library this fall. Open weekdays 8 am - 5 pm. through December 12th (except holidays)
