Drainage Assistance Program Approved by Council

The City of Fayetteville is pleased to announce that the Drainage Assistance Program is now available to assist homeowners who have drainage concerns on their property that extend beyond public streets. At the Sept. 23, 2019 city council meeting, council voted to approve the Drainage Assistance Program and set aside money budgeted specifically for this purpose, which allows the city to address drainage concerns that fall outside city rights-of-way.  More Info

Parks and Recreation Seeks Input on 10-Year Master Plan

Fayetteville-Cumberland Parks & Recreation is inviting residents to one of two Community Input meetings in October. The purpose of these meetings is to assist with the Parks & Recreation 10-Year Master Plan. Resident input is essential as the final Master Plan will serve as the road map for development over the next ten years. Participants will have an opportunity to meet with the consultant and provide valuable input that will help shape recreational programs and facilities throughout our community. More Info

Segra Stadium recognized as "Ballpark of the Decade"

Ballpark Digest has recognized Segra Stadium as the High-A Ballpark of the Decade (2010-2019). Segra Stadium was built by the City of Fayetteville to be the new home for the Fayetteville Woodpeckers, a Class A Advanced MiLB affiliate of the Houston Astros. The Fayetteville Woodpeckers open the 2019 season in their new home in April and had a record setting season in the new ballpark. More Info

City, Sponsors, and Volunteers Partnered for KaBOOM! Blitz Build

Fayetteville Cumberland Parks and Recreation, 200 volunteers from local nonprofits, several partnering agencies, and a national corporate sponsor joined KaBOOM! on Oct. 10 to transform an empty site into a kid-designed, state-of-the-art playground in just six hours. The playground is located at Smith Recreation Center, 1520 Slater Avenue. Thank you to everyone who participated in this great community project!
