Christmas is coming!!!! Sharing Tree information and ornament distribution will be available after all Masses October 26th and 27th and November 2nd and 3rd. Through the generosity of St. Patrick parishioners, we provided 200 less fortunate families with Christmas gifts last year and we hope to repeat that this year. Please consider taking an ornament or making a monetary donation to assist with this effort.
If you have any questions, please contact Kate Harper at 5harpers2009@gmail.com or (847)607-8812.
Thank you in advance for making Christmas very special for so many families!
Wednesday Nights at 7:00pm in the Youth Room
October 30 through December 11, 2019
Human experience and psychological research confirm the teachings of Scripture that practicing forgiveness is good for our health and happiness and that refusing to forgive can bind us in depression, anxiety, and low self-esteem. We may not feel like forgiving, but God calls us to embody pardon and mercy in imitation of the divine forgiveness we have received. Learn the dynamics of forgiveness and how it can bring healing to your personal life, your family, and our church.
Cost is $10 per person to cover the cost of the books provided at the first session. Sessions last no more than 90 minutes. Contact Chris Genge at: chrissyg51@yahoo.com, home phone 847-816-6840 and cell phone 847-293-0710. New members are always welcome!

EUCHARISTIC ADORATION
ON NOVEMBER 1
Our practice at St. Patrick’s has been to gather on the First Friday of each month for a Holy Hour with Exposition and Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament from 3:30 to 4:30.
On November 1, however, we will have special Exposition, Adoration and Benediction in the main church with a monstrance that was blessed by St. John Paul II.
The “Visiting Monstrance” is an evangelization tool used by the Pope John Paul II Eucharistic Adoration Association to enhance devotion to the Eucharist throughout the Archdiocese of Chicago. This beautiful monstrance was taken to Rome and blessed by St. John Paul II on March 2, 2005, from his room at Gemelli Hospital. He consecrated the vessel specifically to promote Eucharistic adoration, prayer for priests, and vocations. It was among the last items blessed by the saintly pope before being called by Our Lord to his final rest one month later on April 2, 2005.

Mondays and Tuesdays
During Religious Education Classes
in the O’Gara Center
We invite all our Religious Education parents to join us for Parent Faith Formation on Mondays and Tuesdays in the O’Gara Center during your child’s Religious Education classes. St. Patrick Church views Faith Formation as a total parish experience that engages not just the child, but also parents, adults, and families that form our parish community of faith. Our children's growth and development in the Catholic faith depends on our parents outwardly living lives of faith.
Our next Confirmation class is on Sunday, October 20 at 4:00pm in the O'Gara Center. If you have any questions about the program, contact our new Youth Minister, Kyle Groves, at kgroves@stpatrick-lakeforest.org or 847-234-1401 ext. 203.
