Community Facilities Task Force Update
Board members shared observations from the Community Facilities Task Force visit to the Pearson building, and applauded the district's custodial staff on maintaining the building. District 'Exit Survey'
Communications Supervisor Ashley McCray | The district plans to conduct a survey with families that live in the district, but have chosen to enroll student(s) elsewhere. In the spirit of improving our services and serving our community better, we want to reach out to and hear from those families. Click here for the proposal presented to the school board. Discussions will continue at the School Board Communications Committee meeting.
UNESCO Energy Efficiency Project
Director of Finance & Operations Jeff Priess | Administration is recommending the approval of an Energy Efficiency Program for the district, which would fund necessary improvements that are ineligible LTFM expenditures. The program self-funds and is budget neutral over the 15-year term of financing. The board did not take action, and plans to revisit the request at the next meeting in October.
2020-21 Middle School Attendance Areas
Assistant Superintendent Dave Orlowsky | District administration presented three scenarios for 2020-21 Middle School Attendance Areas. The board accepted two scenarios and directed district staff to proceed to collect public feedback before a final decision is made later this year. School Board Member Replacement Process
*School Board Chair Reggie Bowerman excused himself during this portion of the meeting | With the December 31, 2019 resignation of School Board Member Reggie Bowerman approaching, the school board discussed the replacement process, and approved a motion to fill the seat by appointment.
