This Sunday, Oct. 20,
the Monkey’s Paw hosts

“BRING YOUR OWN HOME MOVIES”
at 1067 Bloor W., Toronto.

BRING YOUR OWN HOME MOVIES is an annual tradition at the Monkey's Paw: in a darkened room on an autumn evening, the forgotten past is literally brought to light.

The event, organized by Toronto's own Home Movie History Project, is a public screening of old home movies... and YOU are invited to contribute. Whether you inherited a box of travelogues from your peripatetic Aunt Marilyn, or scrounged a few mysterious reels at a hoarder's estate sale, this is your chance to project your movies to an audience of appreciative enthusiasts. Even if you have no films to contribute, you're still welcome to join us, just to savor the spectacle.

The projectors support 8mm, Super 8, and 16mm film formats (sorry — no video!). If you’d like to preview the contents of your old reels before screening them, or if your films need some basic first aid, technicians from the Home Movie History Project will be on hand to help out.

Admission is free (though donations are gladly accepted). For more details, contact the Home Movie History Project.

We hope to see you there!
