Biki News: October 2019
Some riders Biki to class, others Biki to work meetings and some Biki to popular events when traffic is heavy and parking is scarce. The Halloween season is filled with Biki-able events taking place throughout our 130+ station network, including:

October 25 - 26: Boo at the Zoo - Waikiki
October 26: Hallowbaloo Music and Arts Festival - Chinatown
October 31: Halloween at the Tower - Aloha Tower

Riders are invited to help us celebrate by participating in our annual costume competition for the chance to win a Free Spirit Plan. If you want to be Biki's best dressed, simply post a photo to social media with the hashtags #GoBikiHI and #BikiBoo. You can find more details and see photos from last year here

SMART RIDER EVENT TIPS

PLAN AHEAD: Before you go, check the Biki App to find a Biki Stop near your destination and see how many open docks are available for you to end your trip.

BOO'S NOT BOOZE: If you plan to celebrate the season with a few adult beverages please consider Biki'ing to the event and taking a Lyft ride home. One of the best aspects of bikesharing is that it enables one-way trips, so you won't have to worry about ditching your car or personal bike.

STAY SAFE: Make sure your costume does not obstruct your vision or affect your riding ability. Remember that Biki riders must be 16 years old.

"
I initially signed up for Biki because several of my classes at UH Manoa were right next to the Biki stations. Nowadays I use Biki when traffic is jammed, buses are slow, or I just have somewhere to go like my favorite coffee shops. The diverse and abundant stop locations make the already affordable membership even more worth it."

Biki Tip: Use the Biki App! I like to plan my routes according to the availability and location of the Biki stations near me.
