Strausman uses antique and vintage papers, handwriting, labels and anything torn, worn and tattered that may represent past lives. Her influences have been her late husband's assemblages (Albert Strausman) as well as artists Robert Rauschenberg, Kurt Schwitters and Hannelore Baron. Her work is in may private collections.
