Hello there!
Hackie Reitman, M.D. here! I wanted to spread the word that we are looking for neurodivergent individuals over the age of 18 in the South Florida area with some experience or interest in video production and editing, writing, research, transcription, and/or social media management, to intern as part of our mentorship program!

As many of you may already know, all of the content on our website DifferentBrains.org is created by our neurodiverse team, and an important part of that team are our interns! Since the organization's inception, we have welcomed select talented interns over the age of 18 whose brains may be a little bit different to get hands-on experience in the creation of advocating media here in our little green screen studio and office located in Fort Lauderdale. That media content is then offered to access completely free of charge on our DifferentBrains.org, where it is viewed by a world wide audience. From videos to documentaries to podcasts to books to blogs, we expose each intern to a bit of everything, develop their skills, and encourage them to find what they enjoy the most.

We also hope that, through meeting a diverse group of professionals that visit us at the Different Brains office here in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, our interns will hear inspirational stories while learning about potential career paths they otherwise wouldn’t. Lastly, Different Brains hopes that by creating an understanding and inclusive environment, we will encourage the building of our interns' social skills, and help put them on the path to be strong self-advocates, be it through media or just their everyday lives. Click here for more information, including a 5 minute video.

So, if you or someone you know might be interested in our unpaid internship or would like more information, please send our coordinator an email at diffbrains@gmail.com (or just reply to this email)

Thanks!
