Spring 2020 Biola Film Submissions

Submissions are open until Friday, November 8th at 11:59 PM. ALL students are welcome to submit screenplays. Screenplays can be no longer than 12 pages (no exceptions). Only students enrolling in the Spring Biola Film course can submit directing reels. Email Dean Yamada your scripts, as well as links to your reels.
  • November 8: Biola Film submission deadline
  • November 15: Screenplay and directing finalists announced
  • November 21: Projects pitched by finalists 
  • November 28: Spring '20 Biola Film chosen 

Sundance 2020 Application

Sundance 2020 Class, will take place in Park City, UT January 27th–February 2nd. This amazing opportunity allows students to attend world premieres of films, develop closer relationships with their peers, and discuss films from morning to night. The cost is $3,498 + $50 registration fee.  Airfare, lodging, 15 movie tickets, and a Sundance badge are included. A deposit of $1,500 is due by Nov. 1.

Academic Advising & Registration for Spring 2020

All continuing students for Spring 2020 must make an academic advising appointment with their faculty advisor or CMA Peer Advisor, Sierra Stoltzfus, between Oct. 14–Nov. 1 to receive your PIN for Spring registration. Check on your degree audit to find your faculty advisor. 

Class registration begins November 4, so make your appointment soon! 

Chinese American Film Festival & Chinese American TV Festival, Monday, Nov. 4, Landmark Theatre

The Chinese American Film Festival (CAFF) and Chinese American TV Festival (CATF) are organized by EDI Media Inc. and supported by major film studios and organizations from both the U.S. and China. Attend this festival summit to listen to well-known Chinese and American filmmakers discuss trends, opportunities, and challenges in the film industry.
