The Oliver Community League has had a busy September and early October with events such as Community League Day, the Yards Fall Launch, the Tenants’ Rights Workshop as well as the Edmonton Centre Federal Election Forum.

Sign up your building to hand out candy to kids on Halloween Day.
We will create a Google Map of all participating buildings in Oliver.
Email us your address at info@olivercommunity.com and we'll make sure urban Trick-or-Treaters know where to go!
The OCL will be handing out candy, serving hot chocolate and signing up members for FREE at Kitchener Park (10230 114 St.).
Our local Edmonton Police Service officers will be there, come say hi!

The Oliver Community League (OCL) is hosting its next pub night on Saturday, October 19, at 7 p.m. at Teddy's Bar & Grill.
Bring a teddy bear or plush toy in support of the Zebra Child Protection Centre.

Join us for EngAGE!
Thee OCL Social Advocacy Committee is partnering with students from MacEwan University's social work program to host EngAGE, an event aimed at improving how the Oliver Community League interacts with seniors living in Oliver.
Through a variety of activities involving seniors and representatives of senior-serving organizations, we'll discuss what seniors are looking for from their community league, identify solutions to address the gaps, and determine how the community league can better engage with seniors living in Oliver.
EngAGE will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, November 9 at Amber Café (10166 – 114 Street NW).

The Oliver Book Club is meeting on October 28
Several community members have started an independent Oliver Book Club. The book club’s next meeting will take place at the Loblaws City Market cafe (12060 104 Ave.) at 6 p.m. on October 28.
The club will discuss The Grapes of Wrath. The book is available at Edmonton Public Library.
