Kia ora Ski Racers,
Due to the weather in the Thames reason we have decided to postpone the L&P Cafe Twin Rivers event. Over the past few days we have been liaising with locals and the coastguard about the conditions, as well as Kane Frost heading across today to check out the course; thank you Kane!
There were a number of contributing factors to this decision, the main ones being snagged trees and lots of debris in the river, the two boat ramps being unusable; covered in silt, and the reserve where we park is currently under water.
We are already thinking about some possible dates for next year that we can run this event, we will get information to you as soon as it is available.
The Bridge to Bridge practice day will still be going ahead on Sunday. We look forward to seeing you at the Cambridge end of the course at 8am for a 8.30am briefing, we are aiming to be on the water for 9am.
