Come To The Table 2019

Come to the Table is returning to the Stony Point Center on Nov. 8 & 9. Featured speakers include our own Cindy Kohlman, as well as Liz Theoharis, co-chair of The Poor People's Campaign. Click here to register.

This year the 2019 Young Ministry Leaders Gathering is joining with Come to the Table. The YML gathering will take place before Come to the Table begins, on Nov. 7 & 8, and will lead into the gathering of the larger Synod community. The Young Ministry Leaders Initiative of the Synod of the Northeast is an endeavor to create space and community for people in their 20s and 30s serving in an ongoing leadership capacity (paid or volunteer) to a ministry setting in our region connected to the PC(USA). Newton Blood Drive

Newton Presbyterian Church is partnering with the American Red Cross to host a blood drive on Saturday, November 23 from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. They are also reaching out to other schools and churches in their neighborhood to make this a Newton Corner Community Event. This event is being organized by the Mission Committee at Newton Presbyterian Church, and members of their committee would be happy to answer any questions you have about the blood drive. Clarendon Hill 100th Anniversary: Cindy Kohlmann will be preaching at Clarendon Hill Presbyterian Church at 4:00 pm on All Saints Sunday, Nov. 3, to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Clarendon Hill's membership in the Presbytery of Boston. This will also be the opening Sunday of the Learn to Talk social justice series sponsored by the church, highlighted by the opening of the “Crossing the Line” art show in which artwork by refugee and immigrant artists will fill the gallery and and church, including 40 paintings from the Syrian refugee camps.

224th General Assembly Hands and Feet Service Opportunities: During GA 224 and as a part of the Office of the General Assembly’s Hands and Feet initiative, The Center: Mission Outside the Box will offer hands-on service opportunities for GA-affiliated visitors, family members, youth groups, and friends. They will offer up to 4 service options, from 8:30-noon, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, June 22, 24, 25 and 26. Click here for more information.

Celebrating 300 Years: Londonderry Presbyterian Church in Londonderry, New Hampshire, will celebrate its 300th anniversary on Sunday, Oct. 27. At 10 am there will be worship ten visitors from Aghadowey, Londonderry, Ireland, followed by a potluck lunch. At 6 pm there will be a big celebration including music and the history of the church. Everyone is invited to join the festivities.

Jericho Walk every third Tuesday in Burlington: For over a year, on the 3rd Tuesday of every month at 1:00 pm, the Burlington Area Clergy for Justice (BAC4J) has been sponsoring a Jericho Walk around the ICE Administration Office in Burlington, MA. Regardless of the weather, anywhere from 40-100 clergy and individuals from all faith traditions participate in the Walk. Prayer Concerns: Please keep Jo-an Bott and Elise Kreiger in your prayers. Elise is Jo-an's life partner and had a mini-stroke in December from which she is still recovering.
